Adhesives for skirting boards

Adhesives are used for machine laminating skirting boards during production and also later on when they are manually installed on site. While simple processing is important, this must not in any way affect the quality of the end product. Finding the right adhesive for the purpose therefore plays a key role: skirting boards must be made to last.

Profile wrapping

Skirting boards are usually made of wood, other wood-based materials, PVC, or aluminium, which is then laminated with decor materials such as CPL, paper, veneers, or thermoplastic films, to protect them against external influences as well as for visual reasons.

We recommend using reactive PUR hotmelts for this purpose, as they provide consistent adhesive quality and contribute to process efficiency. Our decades of experience and close cooperation with machine and material manufacturers guarantee reliable quality and safety. Our wrapping adhesives are also available in micro-emission quality.

Installation and assembly

Skirting boards can be attached to a number of different materials, requiring a good all-round adhesive.

We recommend our STP adhesive KLEIBERIT 601.1 for this purpose, which bonds to almost all types of material and has a very high initial strength. It is easy to use and gives the user plenty of time for corrections, as has been proved in numerous tests.
