PUR adhesives for load-bearing timber construction
Structural wood-based materials are increasingly replacing sawn timber and other building materials. Only adhesives that have been approved for the purpose can be used for manufacturing glued load-bearing wood elements. To this end, load-bearing timber components and the adhesives used with them are tested for compliance with extensive standards at special testing centres.

Typical construction elements
• solid construction timber
• bilaminates, trilaminates
• standardized glued laminated timber
• glued wall and ceiling panels for cross-laminated timber (CLT) houses
• cross beams / log house planks
Only adhesives that have been approved for the purpose and meet the highest bonding specifications can be used for manufacturing glued load-bearing wood elements.
KLEIBERIT 510.3 is a 1C PUR adhesive developed specifically for use in load-bearing timber construction. There are three different versions available, each with different open and pressing times. All three comply with the strict testing standards, and additionally offer the following benefits:
• extremely high bonding strength
• subtle, pale-colored glue joints
• excellent processing properties
• suitable for higher feeding speeds
• three different versions provide convenient processing windows
Processing
KLEIBERIT 510.3 is easy to apply to flat surfaces with the matching applicators. It has excellent pumpability, enabling higher feed rates.
In finger jointing, KLEIBERIT 510.3 is applied with finger jointing machines using comb systems, directly from the bottle and in a closed system.
