Bonding instead of sewing
Bonded seams in underwear offer an efficient and comfortable alternative to traditional stitched seams. This textile-friendly bonding method not only prevents skin irritation but also significantly reduces pressure marks on the skin, resulting in noticeably improved wearing comfort. Thanks to a short open time, processes are accelerated, allowing for faster further processing – supported by lamination using a reactivation process. The high initial strength ensures immediate stability, while the bond remains soft and elastic at the same time. The technology also proves its value in production: it is easier to automate and enables consistent quality. The precise dot application without thread tension ensures that the textile properties are not affected by the laminating adhesive. Finally, the adhesive is complemented by ECO PASSPORT certification, making it an attractive choice from a sustainability perspective as well.
Applications:
- highly stressed membrane, leather and textile lamination
- lamination of foamed materials on textile
- lamination in reactivation process
Advantages:
- short open time
- high initial strength
- no thread tension during dot application
- substances, tested and certified in accordance with OEKO-TEX® valid ECO PASSPORT: Nr. ZHXA 101889
