WORLDSKILLS IN BASEL

From October 11 to 14, the World Carpentry and Joinery Championships will be held in Basel, Switzerland. Benjamin (Ben) Supé will be there.

Several weeks of special training in the category "cabinetmaker" are behind him. A good 15 chests of drawers have been created during this time and each time it went a little better. Hard training that pays off, because "every minute I'm faster and more accurate can make the difference in the end." Ben gets feedback above all from Florian Langenmair, who is the national coach for the cabinetmakers and has gradually brought his protégé into top form in Dinkelscherben/Bavaria. Until the climax, which now follows in Switzerland, the young journeyman carpenter has already dedicated two years of his life to his dream of winning the world championship, and even though "it's the most exhausting thing I've ever done, I wouldn't want to miss a single day of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Hintergrund WorldSkills
